Labour Day! For all you moms with school age children – YAY! And
maybe a bit sad too. Don’t worry, going to school is great for kids –
they need to work on being independent:).
My own baby is starting University on Tuesday and I am so proud!
Anyway,
there is LOTS of news with Discovery Toys. I am going to try to include
everything here, so it might be a bit long. Sorry about that. I
will put in point form the important points, then below will have more
information.
1. Most important first: Discovery
Toys is seeking NEW Team Members this fall. We are actually quite
short-handed, and like the mall, need more people to sell toys in the months
leading up to the holiday season. Unlike the mall however, we can offer
flexible hours, an income YOU can set, personal development opportunities and
even a trip to Hawaii
if you want to work really hard. I
would love to share more information with you, or with someone you know
(ANYWHERE IN CANADA). As a thank you, I will give a gift with the first
order placed by you (or your friend) when you (or they) join Discovery Toys
with me. Who am I looking for? New moms, people who want income
without working long hours outside the home, teachers/teacher assistants,
nurses, daycare/dayhome workers. Really, anyone who cares about children
and their potential. Could that be you?
2. Second most important, I am seeking
people who would like some free toys this fall. My goal is to give away
$100 (or more) in FREE and HALF PRICE toys to at least 25 hostesses this fall.
That is $2500 FREE. Would YOU like to be one of my 25 hostesses?
(Could be a daycare or classroom too) All YOU have to do is invite your
friends and family, serve some cookies and tea, and choose your free toys! I can do a theme party (ice cream, birthday,
holiday) to make it fun, or an educational party (raising a reader, school
readiness, learning styles) to add some value. Or just a quick and
informal get-together – you choose.
3. I have a goal to give away some free
toys to children in Women’s Shelters too – can you help? I am accepting
donations and also selling 50/50 tickets this fall. For a toonie you have
a chance to win up to $100 of FREE toys!
4. We have a new catalogue
coming. Great news. One thing that means though, is we have
retiring products, toys and books that won’t be staying in the fall
catalogue. You have until September 25th to order from the
Spring and Summer catalogue, but some things have already sold out. The
list is below, and you can check out the online catalogue at www.discoverytoyslink.com/ArleneLaskey.
Also, check the website for our Going, Going, Gone Specials! These are items
that aren’t in the catalogue, only available on the website and only while they
last. Check back occasionally as the list changes.
6. Want to see the toys but not host a
show? We have a few opportunities for that this month. Full
invitation is below.

b. September 27th – Cedar
Park Inn on the South side at 7:00
c. How about a quick coffee/play date
at your house, my house or a local coffee shop – at a time convenient for both
of us.
